We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express and PayPal as payment in US dollars. Simply select your payment option in the drop-down box during checkout.
Don't want to use your credit card online? Purchase a re-loadable pre-paid credit card (Visa, MasterCard, etc) for the amount you would like to spend. These can be purchased almost anywhere, grocery stores, convenient stores, etc. Use it to make purchases and re-load the card as needed.
Can I pay for my order by phone? Yes! Just shop as usual and select “Payment by Phone” at checkout and follow the instructions.
Mail Order - Place your order online with us and select pay by phone as your payment method, then let us know you will be paying by check. Be sure to complete the checkout online so that 1) we can reserve the products for you until we receive payment and 2) you can accumulate and use points.

Why is my basket empty?
When your shopping basket comes up empty after shopping, it normally means that all or some cookies have been disabled in your browser.
When you place an item in your basket, cookies remembers it until you checkout. If you do not have cookies enabled or your privacy settings do not allow cookies, your computer cannot remember what you have placed into your basket. That’s the way online shopping baskets work.
Recent updates to your computer, browser, privacy settings or security settings can change your cookie settings.
You can try lowering your privacy settings and re-set them after you order if you wish. Medium settings usually work well.
Or try ordering from a different computer if you have access to one. Be sure you have cookies enabled too. Then go to our website and see if your shopping basket has got a memory of your requests.
Do you offer soap samples? Yes, we offer many samplers on our Samplers page.
We do not offer a printed catalog.
Our giving works include contributions every month to the Environmental Working Group and also contribute to the local women’s shelter, Clean the World, The Audubon Society and other charitable causes.
I am allergic to nut products. Do you use the same equipment for all of your soaps? We do use nut products such as shea butter and mango butter in some of our natural soaps and other items. We use the same equipment for all products. We list the ingredients of our products on this website. If you have allergies, be sure to read the ingredients before purchasing.
Do you preform animal testing? No, we do not test on animals......unless John counts as an animal :).
Are your products vegan?
All of our soaps are vegan with the exception of the goat milk soap. However, we do carry other products that contain beeswax which includes: concealers, lip crèmes and lip liners, eye liner pencils, mascara, shimmer crème, Jaffa lip balm, reflect outdoor balm. We do list list ingredients of each product so be sure to read the ingredients to be sure.
A Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) must be obtained prior to returning product. To request an RMA, use our contact page and let us know why you would like to return the product. Be sure to include your name and the order number.
On items where we offer a sample/trial size, we do not issue refunds on full size products so be sure to purchase a sample size if you aren’t sure you will like it. Full size items must be returned in new, unused, resalable condition. Be sure to pack returned items carefully as we can only issues a refund if we can resell the item. Any actual shipping costs (not the discounted or free rate) will be deducted from the refund amount. All returns must be returned within 30 days of the purchase date with the original invoice. No refunds can be issued after 30 days of purchase. Shipping and handling charges are non-refundable and return shipping is the sole responsibility of the buyer. Miessence does not accept returns on cosmetic so please choose carefully as they are not returnable. We do not issue refunds on sample sizes.
If you received free shipping at the time of purchase and you would not have qualified for free shipping without purchasing the returned product, the shipping charged will be deducted from your refund amount.
Once you receive the RMA, include it with the returned item in the original packaging along with original packing materials and invoice. The RMA number must be PLAINLY visible on the outside of the package. Any package returned without a RMA number will be rejected and returned to the customer.
Oklahoma residents are subject to 6.50% sales tax.
Your Privacy is important to us. We will never sell or share your information with anyone and we always discard old and unused information by burning it (it becomes heat for our home in the winter).
How to Care for Your Soap:
Store your handmade soaps in a cool, dark place. Each scent should be stored separately in a plastic container or freezer bag to help retain scent and to keep them from absorbing moisture from the air. Handmade soaps are rich in natural glycerin and glycerin is a humectant which attracts moisture. When in use, soaps should be kept on a soap dish that drains very well and should be allowed to dry between uses. You can find soap dishes under "Bath Accessories" on our site.
Bulk batch soaps are best keep in a plastic container such as a plastic shoe box to protect from moisture and help retain their scent.
